Our items are made to order, expressly for you. True artisans take pride in the quality of their creations and time in conveying that in every detail. Working with recycled materials involves time consuming procedures to prepare the wood before the end result can be achieved.
We don't delegate any part of the manufacturing process in order to guarantee quality consistency.
After the used wine barrel is carefully taken apart, the staves and metal hoops are carefully sorted.
Each stave is then selected for its specific role in a piece of furniture, so that quality & design are successfully combined.
The natural arch of a barrel stave confers striking finesse to the silhouette of each of our designs. The barrel's metal hoop is integrated whenever possible. The red wine previously held in the barrels stains the underside conferring its particular character to it.
Each piece will show natural variations in color, grain & dimensions from piece to piece. Imperfections of the weathered wood are welcome part of its history and unique charm.
