This is Stil Novo Design’s medium size bench entirely made with recycled oak wine barrel staves from French wine barrels.
Our Rialto can easily be integrated in any room of the house as a unique and handy piece of home decor. Rialto is the larger version of our well recognized ‘Emperor Seat’ and, as every other Stil Novo Design’s exclusive creation, it’s a perfect combination of sturdiness, functionality and inimitable style.
By using the natural arch of a barrel stave, we are able to create this particularly attractive silhouette, reminiscent of oriental flavor.
The top and the sides are stained with the red wine previously held in the barrel and complemented with a rich ‘cherry chocolate’ finish, while the rest is stained with a warm golden oak color.
The solid wood of an oak wine barrel has a very distinctive element of charm that is conveyed into every object we create.
Every individual barrel carries the signs of its unique history in every stave.
As no barrel band is the same, each piece might show natural imperfections, slight variations in color, grain & dimensions, all adding to the uniqueness of every item.
Each one is individually handcrafted, sanded back to its original wood and creatively reinvented.
The Rialto measurements are about 27” long X 11 3/4” wide (top) and 18” high
(Each barrel stave is different so the size is ALWAYS approximate)
