Stil Novo Design’s unique oval end/side table is entirely made with the solid oak and the galvanized steel hoops recycled from discarded, used wine barrels.
Our Cricket is a stunning little table that can easily be integrated in any room of the house as a distinctive and useful piece of home décor.
Cricket is a perfect combination of sturdiness, functionality and inimitable style.
This table features an oval top and a round bottom tray, both made by recycling wine barrels' tops; the tray is smartly settled at the center of the four legs and framed by a barrel's galvanized steel hoop. By using the natural arch of the barrel staves we are able to create this particularly striking profile for its legs.
The outside of the legs and underside of the table's top are stained with the red wine previously held in the barrel and complemented with a rich ‘cherry chocolate’ finish, while the rest is finished with a warm golden oak color; the hoop is a hammered dark grey color.
The golden oak color is customizable to your likings.
On some pieces it's still possible to see the branded trademark from the cooperage and metal tag, which is going to be left attached unless requested otherwise. Markings are chosen at random and vary for each barrel. Please note that the table featured in our listing is for reference only; as each piece is unique and made to order, variations are to be expected.

Each one is individually handcrafted, sanded back to its original wood and creatively, skillfully reinvented.
We love the fact that we are able to help the environment by recycling the raw, discarded material and to turn it into an object of ‘practical elegance’ at the same time.
