Our little Temple stool is entirely made of recycled oak wood from French wine barrels.
Although it was conceived as a footstool for classical guitar players, it has been often used by our customers as a child's stool, plant stand, meditation stool, side mini-table, or to cleverly place it under the feet when seated at the computer for an extended period of time, in order to guarantee better posture and support.
We find that it can easily be integrated in any room of the house as a distinctive and versatile piece of home decor.
The top and the sides are stained with the red wine previously held in the barrel and complemented with a rich ‘cherry chocolate’ finish.
The temple measurements are 13”X5-1/2” (for the top) and 7” height
(Each barrel stave is different so the size is approximate).
The solid wood of an oak wine barrel has a very distinctive element of charm that is conveyed into every object we create.

As no barrel stave or band is the same, each piece might show natural imperfections, slight variations in color, grain & dimensions, all adding to the uniqueness of every item.
Each one is individually handcrafted sanded back to its original wood and creatively reinvented.
By using the natural arch of a barrel stave we are able to create this particularly attractive silhouette of definite oriental flavor.
